Confusion Regarding Genres

Throughout my time making music these past years, I've naturally changed the type of music I produce many times, and It's come to the point where I have archived pieces from two years ago that are now done. The problem is, they don't fit the sounds I use, or the style I represent now. It's frustrating to me, because I still think these songs have a good quality, but they don't belong to me anymore. I hope I don't keep changing my sound, and at some point can be content and consistent with one direction.
