In 2019, I took an interest in website building, due to my need for a promotion website as an independent musician. After many tutorials, at 14 years old I created my first ever website. It was not without many issues, but it accomplished its task and I was very proud. Below, you can see one of the early versions of it.
in 2022, my brother listened to and implemented an idea to my new website. With his knowledge of Ruby on Rails, he created the first version of this website, albeit full of bugs and visual issues. I mentioned changes I wanted, and he made them. Soon he became busy and could no longer help me develop my website, so it remained unfinished and quite ugly. Over the next two years my brother made small backend changes and added key new features to the website when he had time off.
Then, in 2024 I began to take an interest in the styling of my website and with my limited knowledge of web design, I began making my own changes. One big overhaul in January produced the view you see above. Brutish, but far better than the unnamed cards that had been there before.
With more help from my brother, I was able to implement my various plans, leading to the next big overhaul. This version of the website saw complete changes to the views of all the musics and blog posts, as well as the view of the music and album cards you see above. A few things were still missing. The blog post menu was out of place, and some bugs still persisted.
Together, me and my brother, on July 6th 2025, completed the now active version of my website, with complete functionality and a much more pleasing style.
